The cooperation between Ruhrbahn (previously known as VIA) and r2p has already started in 2015 with a project for the replacement of older CCTV systems in the company’s busses. In the following years the collaboration has been expanded and intensified.
Nimbus – specialising in creating and implementing technology to improve the public transport information for all users – has now installed their equipment in 37 buses across the First South Yorkshire and Stagecoach Yorkshire networks as part of the Better Bus Area Fund programme. This technology includes bespoke screens and speakers to announce the next stop on their route, to ensure public transport is accessible for everyone.
With the new order r2p will supply security and surveillance equipment for eight Siemens Vectron locomotives, which are going to be operated by Cargo ČD in Eastern European countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania as well as in Austria). The project will start within the next days and will run until early 2018. The installation will include a combination of IP-based and analogue devices – with pantograph monitoring cameras (CA10) including illumination kits. For this complex set-up r2p’s high-performance recorder R8C will be used to record images and data.
This long-held r2p tradition takes place every year and gives the kids the opportunity to see, where their parents are working, and to get to know the other families.
