DB Regio NRW chooses r2p as their trusted partner for onboard security

r2p announces a new order from Deutsche Bahn AG for supplying the innovative onboard Saloon CCTV solution to make travelling in regional trains even safer.

With the new order r2p will supply equipment for sixteen trains (ET 425), which are going to be operated by DB Regio NRW for the track RB27 from Mönchengladbach via Köln Hauptbahnhof to Koblenz Hauptbahnhof. The installation of the system will start in early 2018 and will include a full IP-based solution including the CD4 camera and the digital high-performance video recorder R16-X as well as network switches. The chosen system offers the operator real time live streaming and status management as well as high quality images with an image rate of up to 400 pictures per second.

Safety for the passengers plus better capacity management for the operator – r2p announces a new order from ŠKODA Transportation for supplying an Onboard Saloon and DOO CCTV solution together with a passenger counting system for 14 new tramway trains.

With the new order r2p will supply equipment for 14 trains, which are going to be operated by CVAG Chemnitz in the southern part of Germany. The project will start in late 2018 and will include a full IP based solution including CD9x, CD7 and the video recorder R8C as well as an analog part for rear-view solution, based on CA10 cameras.

Yorkshire bus passengers to be updated in real time – r2p supplies 740 bus stop displays

r2p announces a £1.8m order from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) for supplying their next generation of bus real time information displays. The project will start in early 2018 and will include installation, supply and full React accessibility capability in 740 bus stops across Yorkshire.

Nimbus Journey Information Ltd., which is part of the r2p Group, have been working with WYCA for 2 years. Russell Gard, Managing Director of Nimbus, says: “We are very happy that we could build such a strong relationship with WYCA over the last 2 years. Working with them is an absolute pleasure. It makes me very proud to be supplying one of the largest UK RTI systems with our equipment and services.”

From 6.-8. March 2018 the r2p Group will present innovative solutions for the public transport industry – ranging from Driver-Only Operation (DOO) CCTV to accessibility technologies making public transport barrier-free for all groups of society.

Intelligent Urban Transport Systems – in March 2018 this is the central focus at IT TRANS at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre. The r2p Group is presenting its integrated hardware and software solutions for Public Transport Authorities (PTA) as well as for operators in the rail and bus industry.

Next to presenting the overall group activities and the solutions offered – e.g. in CCTV, PIS/PA, APC and Tracking – two current topics are going to be in focus at the r2p exhibition stand:
